Physical Therapy

Our highly skilled, experienced physical therapists work toward restoring lost movement and function that may have resulted from an acute illness or injury or following surgery. Areas of focus may include:

  • Therapeutic exercise/s to develop strength, endurance and flexibility
  • Gait training
  • Improving balance and fall-risk reduction
  • Improved mobility
  • Pain management

Occupational Therapy

Our experienced team of occupational therapists identifies and addresses problems with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) that may have resulted from an illness or injury. They adapt and/or design specific tasks and resources necessary to maximize functional abilities and independence which focuses on:

  • Mobility needed for functional tasks like dressing, grooming and hygiene
  • Muscle strength and joint range of motion to be able to regain self-care ability
  • Problem solving for organizing and executing daily tasks
  • Logical thought processes for adapting, relating to, and planning meal preparations or other household tasks
  • Seating and positioning
  • Splinting
  • Cognitive, perceptual and motor skill therapy

Speech Therapy

For persons with speech or communication deficits or those with swallowing disorders, specific
programs and training are offered by our Speech Language Pathologists. Programs and services may include:

  • Professional evaluation
  • Language ability and alternative communication strategies
  • Understanding language, memory and thinking & reasoning skills
  • Swallowing ability
  • Diet assessment and modification/s
